Modern Traditional

This project is one of several that we designed in the Heritage District of Olde Oakville, Canada. We wanted to give a contemporary twist on the typical traditional proportions of this style of architecture, including subtle hues from the reduced overhangs to the steel inspired windows. Antique, stained brick from Detroit gives this home the texture that grounds it in its simplicity. The interiors were inspired by a sophisticated yet comfortable vibe. No doubt, the proximity to the water kept a coastal tone throughout this project.
